Boryeong Mud Festival 2025 – Asias Premier Summer Festival Comes Back Bigger and Better

Boryeong Mud Festival to Return in 2025

The Boryeong Mud Festival—one of Asia’s top three festivals—comes back to Daecheon Beach in Boryeong, South Korea, between July 25 to August 10, 2025.

Daecheon Beach: Ideal Summer Spot

Daecheon Beach, Boryeong’s iconic summer resort, is known for its vast white sand and soft, warm waters, hence a family favorite and top destination for summer vacationers. The beach is particularly famous for its mineral mud, which is the star of the event’s distinctive activities.

Mud Experience Zone and Daytime Activities

The festival this year is centered around the “Mud Experience Zone,” with general visitor areas, family(Kids) areas, and a water park. During the day, visitors can take a plunge into massive mud pools, tackle the Mud Mob Scene, Mud on the Beach, and Mud Beauty Care, among other interactive activities. The beach comes alive with concerts, drone light shows, and special events, providing a lively summer party vibe.

Live Performances and K-POP Highlights

The highlight stage will feature a mix of performances such as the World DJ Festival (WDF), K-POP performances, and other performances ranging across different genres. M COUNTDOWN—Korea’s premier K-POP chart show telecast live on Mnet—will take place on August 7 at Mud Expo Square, gathering the best of K-POP stars for an unforgettable summer evening. On the 9th of August, the K-POP Super Live (KBS2) will be held as a special broadcast program with the latest popularity songs, collaborations of artists, and special performances.

Special Mud Festival Train from Seoul

For tourists coming from Seoul, the exclusive “Seoul–Boryeong Mud Train” operates on July 26, August 1, and August 8, with 400 seats per trip (in total, 1,200 seats). The special train starts from Seoul Station, stops at Gaehwa Art Park, Boryeong Traditional Market with a history of more than 90 years, and at the festival itself—all within one day.

Inclusive Travel Packages for Festival-Goers

Travel packages comprise round-trip train fares between Seoul and Daecheon, local shuttle transportation, Gaehwa Art Park and Boryeong Mud Festival entrance fees, and a 10,000 KRW (approximately $7.50) Onnuri gift certificate that is handed out to travelers on the travel day.
