South Korea, 16th Dec 2024 – The highly anticipated CABEON, Dream Factory Studio’s 2023 masterpiece, began airing on KBS from September 2, 2023, and will continue through November 9, 2024. This new animated series transports viewers into a world where mystical creatures, known as CABEON, coexist with humans. These creatures, capable of transforming from cards into formidable monsters, set the stage for a tale of adventure, friendship, and the battle between good and evil.
The Storyline
In a peaceful world where humans and CABEON live harmoniously, dark forces emerge to disrupt the balance. An organization called Black Corps begins corrupting CABEON into malevolent forms, threatening the world’s safety. In response, individuals capable of bonding with and controlling CABEON, known as Masters, rise to challenge the Black Corps.
To nurture these gifted individuals, the Dream Academy is established, offering training and mentorship to create skilled CABEON Masters. The story follows Wooju, a spirited and brave boy, as he and his friends embark on a thrilling journey to become true CABEON Masters. Together, they confront challenges, grow through battles, and work to thwart the Black Corps’ sinister ambitions.
Meet the Heroes
Wooju (voiced by Huh Yae-eun)
- Age: 10
- Personality: Bright, positive, and adventurous
- Wooju is the optimistic protagonist whose daring spirit and kind heart earn him the loyalty of wild CABEON. Alongside his partner CABEON, KURI, Wooju dreams of becoming the greatest CABEON Master.
Haeri (voiced by Jang Ye-na)
- Age: 10
- Personality: Passionate yet composed
- Haeri balances her fiery emotions with meditation, bringing strength and focus to her team. She values her friendships deeply, often playing the role of a mediator among her friends.
Bao (voiced by Jang Seo-hwa)

- Bao is the group’s comic relief and strategist. Though he struggles in action, his quick thinking and loyalty make him an indispensable member of the team.

The Villains: Black Corps
The Black Corps is the primary antagonistic force, dedicated to spreading chaos by corrupting CABEON into Dark CABEON. Their leader, Black, along with his bumbling subordinates, Charcoal and Gray, frequently attempt to dismantle Dream Academy’s efforts. However, their plans are consistently thwarted by Wooju and his friends.
The Mystical CABEON
The CABEON are magical creatures formed when meteor energy merged with Earth’s flora and fauna. These creatures exhibit a neutral moral alignment, becoming allies or enemies based on their bond with humans. CABEON corrupted by the Black Corps transform into Dark CABEON, gaining immense power but losing their free will.
