Hit songwriter David Wills is bringing his own voice, musical styling’s and composition to the public just in time for the holidays.
Wills is not a new kid on the block. In fact, he is a tried and true music man who has penned many a hit song and worked over 4 decades with Charley Pride. Wills is currently enjoying the freedom Tugalo Records is allowing him while he has designated November 18th for his first album release under this label. David has re-recorded versions of two of his songs: “There’s A Song On The Jukebox,” and “Barrooms To Bedrooms.” These versions really modernize the two great songs without taking away from their charm and characteristic styles.
Wills charted twenty-one songs on country Billboard and recorded three country albums between 1974 and 1988. As a songwriter, he penned hit songs for stars like GeorgeStrait, John Schneider, Keith Whitley, John Michael Montgomery, Patty Loveless, Sawyer Brown, and Garth Brooks.
He and BillShore co-wrote “Wild Horses” for Garth Brooks. The 1990 “No Fences” album was certified eighteen-million copies shipped in the United States. Ten years later, it was released as a single and went to number seven on Billboard Hot Country Singles totaling 23 million. Wills continues to be a songwriting sensation with more than 30 million copies of his songs sold.
