How One Company is Transforming Lives Through Adaptive Fitness

1 in 36 children in the United States have Autism, and that’s just one subset of a larger group that could be benefiting from fitness programs tailored to individuals with special needs. 1.3 billion people worldwide live with significant disabilities. The numbers are staggering, representing a significant portion of the world’s population, and yet the need for adaptive fitness services has never been greater.

We know there is a high demand for specialized fitness solutions, with more than ten million online searches a month seeking information on adaptive fitness solutions. Despite this significant need, there’s a glaring gap in the market – a lack of providers offering these types of services.

One company, however, is filling this gap by making adaptive fitness more accessible. It all started with a viral video. Brandon is a member of the special needs community who felt isolated in the health and fitness space. Sharing his story online inspired a movement that led to the creation of Special Strong, a franchise and training certification company that to date has certified 1,200 trainers worldwide who are dedicated to transforming lives through adaptive fitness and working with individuals with special needs.

Daniel Stein, co-founder of Special Strong, shared his vision for the company, “We believe that everyone, regardless of ability, deserves access to quality fitness services. Through our specialized training program, we empower individuals with adaptive needs to achieve their fitness goals and improve their overall well-being.”

Ethno Holdings, an investment and growth consulting company, recognized the untapped potential in the adaptive fitness market and partnered with Special Strong to scale its impact. Leveraging its social media network and AI technology, Ethno has helped accelerate the growth of Special Strong, reaching over 12 million people each month and increasing the number of individuals receiving certified training and services.

“Our goal is to create a supportive community where individuals with special needs can thrive and reach their full potential,” said Dwayne Stoltzfus, founder of Ethno Holdings and investor in Special Strong. “Through our adaptive fitness programs, we are not only transforming bodies but also transforming lives.”

This is true of so many clients whose lives have been transformed through Special Strong, but Brandon’s story stands strong as the inspiration behind the movement. Through Special Strong’s adaptive fitness program, Brandon has gained strength, confidence, and a sense of community that he had previously felt was lacking. His story – as well as so many others who have been open about sharing their journeys on social media – is a powerful testament to the life-changing impact of specialized fitness services for individuals with special needs.

To further expand its reach and provide access to adaptive fitness programs in more locations across the country, Special Strong has partnered with industry leader 24 Hour Fitness. This partnership has enabled even more individuals in the special needs community to benefit from the transformative power of adaptive fitness.

In a world where inclusivity and accessibility are paramount, Special Strong is leading the way in breaking down barriers and empowering individuals with special needs to lead healthier, happier lives. This innovative approach to adaptive fitness has a lasting impact not only on the clients served but also in changing perceptions and creating a more inclusive fitness industry for all.
