Daejeon Center for Creative Economy & Innovation to Host the 2025 Startup Korea Investment Week SIW
Korea South, 7th Sep 2025 – The Daejeon Center for Creative Economy & Innovation (“Daejeon Innovation Center”) will host the 2025 Startup Korea Investment Week (SIW) from Monday, September 15 to Thursday, September 18 at Daejeon Startup Park in Gung-dong, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon.

Growing as a Leading Startup–Investor Meetup
Now in its third year, SIW has established itself as a region-based alley-style (“Alley”) startup–investor meetup, bringing together startups, investors, venture capitalists (VCs), large corporations, and financial, legal, and tax experts in one place. The event features 1:1 investment consultations, IR pitching, and networking. In particular, through the pre-matching 1:1 consultation program, participating startups are paired with relevant investors and experts to conduct direct IR presentations and consultations, providing opportunities for practical investment connections and collaboration.
Expanding International Participation
This year’s event will also welcome global startup stakeholders, strengthening both the international expansion potential of domestic startups and tangible investment outcomes. For regional companies, securing overseas markets is a crucial growth driver, and SIW offers startups the opportunity to meet investors directly and explore new market opportunities.
Focus on Deep-Tech and Open Innovation
Startups in the Daejeon area, especially deep-tech startups, require not only technological advancement but also open innovation (OI) with large corporations and a global network to achieve substantial growth. Given the limited size of the local market, SIW is expected to serve as a pivotal platform for tangible growth through connections with overseas investors.
Commitment to Supporting Local Startups
Park Dae-hee, CEO of Daejeon Innovation Center, said, “Startup Korea Investment Week is more than just a meeting, it is a vital platform for startups to connect with domestic and international investors and gain growth momentum. We will continue to actively support non-metropolitan startups in achieving results on the global stage. In particular, through the alley-style (‘Alley’) events led by the Daejeon Innovation Center, we aim to drive the sustainable growth of local startups.”
