Dolly Varden Silver High Grade Gold Zone has Mineralisation Identical to the Idled Premier Gold Mine
On November 10, 2025 Dolly Varden Silver reported results from drilling that expand the high-grade gold zone within the Homestake Silver deposit.
High-Grade Gold Expansion
Canada, 13th Nov 2025 – Global Stocks News released sponsored content on behalf of Dolly Varden Silver. On November 10, 2025, Dolly Varden Silver (TSX-V: DV) (NYSE MKT: DVS) (FSE: DVQ) announced new drilling results that further expand the high-grade gold zone at the Homestake Silver deposit. The update gives investors a clearer view of how quickly the area is evolving.
Hole HR25-469 focused on a large open section within the Homestake Silver deposit. The hole returned 26.74 g/t Au over 14.75 meters. It also included a much higher-grade segment measuring 122 g/t Au over 2.85 meters. Overall, the broader zone delivered 12.13 g/t Au across 33.80 meters, showing impressive mineral continuity.
Similarly, HR25-464 hit 9.22 g/t Au over 6.65 meters. It also contained 58.80 g/t Au over 0.95 meters from a newly identified stockwork zone. These results indicate that more potential extensions exist in the surrounding areas.

Intervals shown represent core lengths. Estimated true widths vary between 65% and 75% depending on the intersection angles. Additional modeling will help determine exact true widths.
Ten years ago, Dolly Varden operated strictly as a silver-focused company. However, as the project has expanded, the company has consistently uncovered significant gold zones. Today, DV’s metal value is almost evenly divided between silver and gold, marking a major shift in its resource profile.
Premier Mine Comparison
“This discovery of wide, high-grade gold mineralization marks a major geological breakthrough at Homestake Ridge,” stated Shawn Khunkhun, President and CEO of Dolly Varden. He explained that the mineralization closely resembles that of the Premier Gold Mine, located 45 km to the northwest and owned by Ascot Resources.
The Premier Gold Mine entered care-and-maintenance status on June 25, 2025. Since then, crews refurbished the mill and commissioned it at a capacity of 2,500 tpd. A new water treatment plant began operating in February 2024, and the site includes a 128-bed camp. These upgrades indicate that the site remains viable once ore sources stabilize.

In 2019, Dolly Varden’s technical advisor Rob McLeod merged IDM with Ascot. Khunkhun told Guy Bennett, CEO of Global Stocks News (GSN), that many Dolly Varden team members previously worked for Ascot. Khunkhun himself consulted for Ascot for six months. As a result, the team understands the Premier project at a detailed level.
Khunkhun added that Ascot designed an engineering plan based on what he believes was a flawed geological model. The company invested $538 million in development and construction. However, without suitable mill feed, the plan faced significant challenges. “Geology must guide the mine design,” he emphasized.
He also noted that the Premier Mine was most profitable when operating at only 400 tonnes per day. In contrast, its current 2,500-tpd design raises questions about long-term efficiency.
Market Shifts and Strategy
Khunkhun reminded GSN that five years ago Ascot held a valuation of roughly $400 million, while Dolly Varden sat at $20 million. Since then, their positions have reversed. He admitted feeling tempted at times to pursue a buyout, but he ultimately decided against spending years in the capital-intensive phase of the Lassonde Curve.

On October 23, 2025, Ascot Resources entered into an advisory agreement with Fiore Management and Advisory Corporation. Fiore will help Ascot with restructuring, refinancing, and leadership improvements.
According to Andrée St-Germain, Chair of the Special Committee, Ascot faces serious financial difficulties. She said Fiore’s proposal offers the strongest path forward for stakeholders.
Meanwhile, Rob van Egmond, VP of Exploration for Dolly Varden, explained that gold now plays a much larger role in the economics of a potential future mine at Kitsault Valley. He emphasized that the region hosts several high-grade underground systems. These deposits could support a “hub-and-spoke” operation where multiple zones feed a single mill.
Since the Premier Mill is already built and idle, van Egmond confirmed that Dolly Varden continues to monitor the opportunity closely.

Drilling Progress Overview

During the 2025 season, Dolly Varden drilled 56,131 meters across 86 holes. About 40% of this drilling occurred at Homestake Ridge, targeting step-out and infill areas along the expanding high-grade gold plunge.
The company also used directional drilling to improve targeting accuracy. Drill holes HR25-462, HR25-464, and HR25-469 came from the same pad and used this technology to intercept the mineralized zones with precision.
Recent drilling continues to outline wide mineralized intervals. The frequency of high-grade gold veins and breccias has increased, indicating a shift toward a more gold-rich system to the north. Importantly, the deposit remains open both along the plunge direction and at depth, offering clear upside.
“With gold at CDN $5,800 per ounce,” van Egmond told GSN, “intersecting 26.74 g/t gold over 14.76 meters is extremely encouraging for our team.”
He added that Fiore Group’s involvement in Ascot’s restructuring strengthens potential synergies with the Premier Mill. It also aligns with Dolly Varden’s goal of consolidating this district in British Columbia.

Rob van Egmond, P.Geo., VP Exploration for Dolly Varden Silver and the Qualified Person under NI 43-101, reviewed and approved the scientific and technical information in this GSN release.
