Founded in 1985 on the principles of integrity, innovation, and service, Abossein Engineering began with a simple vision:

Over the past forty years, the firm has completed nearly 4,000 successful projects. These include office and corporate spaces, healthcare and institutional facilities, laboratories, industrial and warehouse developments, restaurants, and commercial kitchens. Honoring Mentors and Community

Abossein Engineering pays special tribute to those who are no longer with us but whose influence endures. The firm honors mentors Dale Aungst and Charlie Fullerton, whose early guidance helped shape Alex Abossein’s career path. Their support led him to serve as Project Manager for the Mechanical and Fire Protection design of the 76-story Columbia Center. That project, completed in 1985, became a defining achievement that preceded the founding of Abossein Engineering.

The firm also remembers architect colleagues and dear friends Chris Simons, Paul Brenna, John Strobel, and Greg Allwine. Their confidence, collaboration, and encouragement helped shape the company’s trajectory and enduring spirit of practice.

“This milestone is not only a reflection of what we have built, it is a reflection of the community that has grown with us,” said Abossein. “Engineering is more than drawings and systems. It is service, trust, and responsibility.”
