Dolly Varden Silver Confirms High-grade Gold System at Homestake Ridge

Dolly Varden Drill Program

Dolly Varden Silver reported a significant gold intercept from a step-out drill hole at the Homestake Silver deposit. The hole is a 45-meter step-out along strike from hole HR24-433 and 30 meters up dip from hole HR24-451.

Dolly Varden Reports Gold Discovery

Canada, 7th Oct 2025 – Global Stocks News – Sponsored content disseminated on behalf of Dolly Varden Silver. On October 1, 2025, Dolly Varden Silver (TSXV: DV) (NYSE American: DVS) (FSE: DVQ) announced a major gold intercept from a step-out drill hole at the Homestake Silver deposit, marking another milestone in its exploration success.

Hole HR25-456 intersected 3.34 g/t Au over 120 meters, including 216 g/t Au over 0.52 meters and 166 g/t Au over 1.3 meters. The hole represents a 45-meter step-out along strike from hole HR24-433 and 30 meters up dip from hole HR24-451, confirming strong mineral continuity and consistent grades.

Expanding the Homestake Deposit

“These gold results from a step-out hole at the Homestake Silver Deposit confirm that the deposit continues to grow beyond the current mineral resource estimate,” said Shawn Khunkhun, CEO of Dolly Varden Silver.

He emphasized that these findings highlight the strength of the high-grade gold system and may indicate a separate but overlapping event from the high-grade silver mineralization already identified at the site. “This discovery could become a key driver of future project development,” Khunkhun added.

Meanwhile, Rob van Egmond, VP of Exploration, told Guy Bennett, CEO of Global Stocks News (GSN), “We have two lenses close to each other. The second phase could overlap the silver-rich mineralization, or it might form a separate lens entirely.”

Geological Insights and Findings

Van Egmond explained that overlapping mineral events or long-lived fluid conduits often indicate deposits formed at different geological periods. “Some precious metals may have developed during the Jurassic age, about 160 million years ago, while another event likely occurred in the Eocene age, roughly 40 million years ago,” he said.

He continued, “This dual-timeline mineralization is common in the Golden Triangle. One of our neighboring projects confirmed an Eocene-age system through assay age-dating, supporting our model.”

Furthermore, he noted, “When a regional corridor with Jurassic mineralization is later overprinted by Eocene mineralization, the grade usually increases. In fact, Hole HR25-456 contained large flakes of visible gold, reinforcing that correlation.”

Evolving Gold and Silver Models

“When we purchased this asset,” van Egmond said, “Homestake Silver had more silver than gold. However, we’re now considering renaming it, since it has evolved into a primarily gold-rich deposit.”

Geologists consistently test, refine, and improve their models. “You gather data, analyze it carefully, and make updates as necessary,” van Egmond explained. “Hole HR25-456 further increases our confidence in the current geological model.”

Dolly Varden Drill Program

Currently, five diamond drills are nearing completion of the 2025 program across the Kitsault Valley and Big Bulk Projects. At Homestake Silver, drilling primarily targets expansion and infill zones of high-grade gold mineralization, aiming to improve both accuracy and scale.

Advanced Drilling and Technology

In addition, DV is exploring outside the current resource area to identify new potential zones. Results from the Homestake Silver gold zone, Wolf Vein silver extension, Big Bulk copper-gold system, and other exploration targets will be released once assays are received.

To achieve this, DV Silver uses directional drilling technology for greater precision. “Directional drilling allows us to guide the drill bit exactly where it needs to go without re-drilling hundreds of meters,” van Egmond said. “This approach ensures efficient exploration of the Homestake Silver deposit.”

Expanding High-Grade Exploration Zones

An animated video by Horizontal Technology offers a clear look at directional drilling.

“A skilled driller can steer the drill bit along a pre-planned path over long distances,” the company explained.

Hole HR25-456 is one of three drilled from the same pad. It was specifically designed to extend the wide, high-grade plunging zone and test outside the current mineral resource model. This 45-meter step-out successfully reached the intended structure, demonstrating the effectiveness of this technique.

Kitsault Valley Project Focus

About 40% of the 2025 drill program—roughly 55,000 meters—focused on the Homestake Silver Deposit at DV’s 100%-owned Kitsault Valley Silver and Gold Project. The goal was to expand and infill high-grade gold zones while confirming structural continuity.

The deposit remains open for further expansion, with gold mineralization trending toward the Homestake Main Deposit, located north of Homestake Silver.

Dolly Varden Drill Program

Additionally, on October 1, 2025, Dolly Varden Silver announced a $30 million bought-deal financing, which included:

  • 2,300,000 shares @ $6.50/share
  • 750,000 flow-through shares @ $9.42/share

990,000 flow-through shares @ $8.10/share

Financing and Investor Interest

According to CG Wealth Management, “Flow-through shares allow public companies to transfer exploration expenses to investors, who can then claim tax credits. This effectively ‘flows through’ the benefits to shareholders.”

Investors in higher tax brackets can use these credits to reduce their personal tax obligations. Under existing agreements, Hecla Canada and Fury Gold Mines can purchase shares at $6.50 each to maintain their equity positions in DV Silver.

Future Outlook and Valuation

DV’s metal inventory is now evenly divided between silver and gold. “With gold currently selling for around CND $5,400 per ounce,” van Egmond said, “our team is excited about the 120-meter intercept grading 3.34 g/t gold. It’s a remarkable achievement that strengthens our project outlook.”

Rob van Egmond, P.Geo., Vice President of Exploration for Dolly Varden Silver and Qualified Person as defined by NI43-101, reviewed and approved all technical data in this GSN release.
