Web3 startup Paywong is launching the first gasless crypto payment gateway. The solution is aimed at mass adoption as transaction fees or gas fees are deemed to be one of the main hurdles in transacting in crypto.
No Gas fees on transactions
Most crypto payment gateways require gas or network tokens in order for the customer to carry out the transaction. A lot of users find it cumbersome or confusing as they are required to have at hand, or need to acquire gas or network tokens when paying for goods or services online. Some might even find themselves paying more on gas fees than for the product itself.
With Paywong, this will no longer be an issue. Users paying with crypto just need to sign a transaction from their non custodial wallet such as Metamask and Paywong handles the rest, eliminating the need for gas tokens. Paywong’s merchant charges start as low as 0.5% of the transaction value for the merchant to receive payment in crypto, with no set up nor monthly fees.
Easy integration and real time access to funds
Designed for easy integration, merchants who are looking to accept crypto just need to sign up with an email address and follow just a few simple steps to integrate Paywong into their checkout page. Paywong not only has ready e-commerce integrations (Shopify, Woocommerce, etc) but merchants will also have access to all of Paywong’s suite of products including crypto invoicing and other upcoming products currently being built.
Non-custodial and secure
Paywong is also a non custodial gateway which means merchants have full control of their funds over their wallets where funds are transferred in real time with no intermediaries involved. As for security, Paywong employs 2FA security to limit frauds, data breaches, and security risks, offering peace of mind for both customers and merchants. The startup is also working with a third-party off-ramp solution to allow its users to convert crypto to fiat in real time.
Set to launch in Q4 2022
Paywong will be launching the crypto payment gateway later this year and will be available for any online businesses that would like to accept payments in crypto hassle free. The crypto payment gateway comes with features that include an intuitive dashboard to manage user funds, e-commerce integrations and also an invoicing system that generates a payment link for anyone to share.
