New Zealand eTA for Belgians

United States, 3rd Jan 2025 – Belgian citizens visiting New Zealand for tourism or business must hold a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA). This rule has been active since October 2019. The eTA is not a visa. It stays valid for two years and allows multiple stays of up to 90 days. Applicants pay the $35 IVL fee once for the entire validity period. They must provide a passport valid for three months after departure, an email address, a payment method, and a recent photo.

NEW ZEALAND VISA FOR BELGIAN CITIZENS

New Zealand introduced the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to simplify entry for tourists and cruise travelers. Belgian visitors must obtain this eTA before traveling. Belgian passport holders already enjoy visa-free travel to 190 countries, including New Zealand. Since October 1, 2019, they must present a valid eTA on arrival.

The eTA is a required digital authorization, not a traditional visa. It stays valid for two years and allows visits of up to 90 days. The IVL fee is paid once at the time of application. The NZeTA process is simple and takes only a few minutes to complete online. After approval, the traveler receives the eTA by email.

Document Requirements for Belgian Citizens

  • A passport valid for at least three months after leaving New Zealand
  • A completed NZeTA online application
  • A debit or credit card to pay the NZeTA and IVL fee

NEW ZEALAND VISA FOR FRENCH CITIZENS

French nationals can enter New Zealand without a visa by using the New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA). New Zealand launched this system in 2019. Travelers from France and more than 190 countries can stay for up to three months for tourism or business.

The eTA eases border checks and supports multiple visits during its validity period. It remains valid for two years or until the linked passport expires. Longer stays, work, or study require a separate visa from a New Zealand embassy. French travelers can complete the NZeTA process online in minutes.

German citizens must secure a New Zealand eTA before traveling. The NZeTA acts as a visa waiver and removes the need for a standard visa. New Zealand introduced this system in 2019 to streamline entry for more than 190 nationalities, including Germans.

The eTA lets German travelers enter New Zealand multiple times for up to two years. Each visit can last up to 30 days. The Visa Waiver Scheme improves border security and protects travelers. Germans who wish to stay more than three months must apply for a different visa. The NZeTA form is quick to fill out and usually takes under 30 minutes.
