Nicola’s Marketplace had its origins far, far before it was a dining destination for pasta enthusiasts and gourmet foodies. It began in a small basement kitchen, where a young man named Nicola DiGiorgio stood alongside his grandmother, powdered with flour, learning to roll out pasta, shape pizza, and fill pastry from scratch. Those afternoons were not just about the cooking, they were about tradition, about patience, and about the pleasure of feeding people.

Culinary School in Parma, Italy

Years on, Nicola brought those lessons with him to Parma, Italy, where he graduated with his Grand Diploma Degree from the Italian Culinary Academy. Surrounded by the flavors of the Emilia-Romagna region, he refined his techniques and adopted a farm-to-table philosophy that would become the hallmark of his career.

Opening Nicola’s Pasta at Farmers Markets

In 2012, he started Nicola’s Pasta, selling fresh pasta and ravioli at the local farmers markets. Flavors, ranging from hearty beef short rib to decadent pork osso buco, attracted a devoted clientele. What started out as a hobby turned into the springboard for something more.

Growth into Nicola’s Marketplace

Today, Nicola’s Marketplace brings that same dedication to authenticity to a much larger audience.
