OhhMed Medical Expands Urology Research with New UK Clinical Trial for Post-Prostatectomy Recovery
OhhMed Medical Ltd., a pioneering medical technology firm specialising in male urology, today announced the initiation of a clinical trial in the United Kingdom. The prospective study is designed to assess the effectiveness of the company’s non-invasive Vertica device for patients undergoing rehabilitation following a radical prostatectomy.

Conducted in partnership with St. Peter’s Andrology at King Edward VII Hospital in London, the clinical investigation will be directed by Associate Professor Wai Gin Lee, serving as the Principal Investigator.
The trial focuses on evaluating how combining radiofrequency therapy via the Vertica device with standard pharmaceutical protocols affects recovery. Researchers aim to determine if this multi-faceted approach improves erectile rehabilitation outcomes for men recovering from prostate cancer surgery.
Post-operative erectile dysfunction is a frequent and persistent complication following a radical prostatectomy, as structural changes in penile tissue during the healing phase often hinder natural recovery. The Vertica system addresses this by delivering targeted, non-invasive radiofrequency energy to support tissue remodelling and enhance vascular function. By introducing this technological intervention early in the post-surgical timeline, the trial aims to establish whether timely care leads to superior long-term functional recovery.
“We are pleased to be working with leading clinicians in the UK on research focused on recovery following prostate surgery,” stated Daniel Lischinsky, Chief Executive Officer of OhhMed Medical Ltd. “This clinical effort builds on our broader research programme evaluating the Vertica platform in male urology.”
This UK project runs alongside OhhMed’s ongoing clinical trials in the United States, where the Vertica device is being studied for the treatment of general erectile dysfunction at premier medical institutions, including the Cleveland Clinic and the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
Commenting on the clinical need, Associate Professor Wai Gin Lee noted: “There remains a clear need for restorative approaches in post-prostatectomy rehabilitation. This trial will help evaluate whether integrating RF therapy into early rehabilitation protocols may improve longer-term patient outcomes.”
The study will track participants over a 12-month period, utilizing a structured regimen that pairs scheduled Vertica therapy with standard PDE5 inhibitor medication. Researchers will measure success through key primary and secondary endpoints, including the recovery of erectile function, patient-reported quality of life metrics, and objective changes in penile tissue measurements over time.
With this initiative, OhhMed Medical expects to further expand the body of clinical evidence validating radiofrequency technology as a cornerstone of modern male urological care.
