Sapyen Announces Integration of Male Fertility Testing Across Ivy Fertility Network

Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Sapyen today announced the integration of its advanced home-based male fertility test kit within the Ivy Fertility network, marking a significant step toward making male reproductive health screening more accessible and clinically standardized. The collaboration enables men to complete lab-grade semen analysis from home, with testing performed through Ivy’s partner laboratories under clinical oversight.

The initiative addresses a longstanding imbalance in fertility diagnostics. While professional guidelines recommend concurrent evaluation of both partners at the start of treatment, male testing is often delayed, contributing to unnecessary procedures and increased emotional and financial burden for families. The Sapyen test kit allows men to collect samples conveniently from home, which are then analyzed in partner laboratories using validated assays such as semen parameters and DNA fragmentation analysis.

“Infertility has historically placed the weight of testing and treatment on women,” said Ashwin Ramachandran, CEO of Sapyen. “By embedding accurate, lab-quality male testing within established fertility networks, we help ensure that both partners are evaluated from the outset. This can improve clinical efficiency and patient experience while reducing the time and resources spent on avoidable procedures.”

According to Lisa Van Dolah, CEO of Ivy Fertility, the collaboration represents a step forward in comprehensive care: “For decades, reproductive medicine was designed around women alone. That model is so improved by supporting both the female and male parties in unison. By starting with both parties together, we can spare women unnecessary procedures, give couples clearer answers sooner, and create a supportive path to parenthood. When care is comprehensive, and inclusive outcomes improve for families.”

Fertility treatments in the United States are growing rapidly, with assisted reproductive technology (ART) cycles now contributing to an increasing share of births nationwide. As access expands through insurance coverage and employer programs, integrating evidence-based testing approaches is becoming an important part of improving efficiency and patient outcomes.

By combining Sapyen’s at-home collection technology with Ivy Fertility’s established clinical infrastructure, the partnership aims to make fertility assessment more inclusive, streamlined, and patient-centered.
