AR Global Roofing Launches 2026 Roberts Roofing University Cohort to Expand Workforce Development
AR Global Roofing, a Texas-based construction and roofing company, today announced the official launch of its 2026 cohort for Roberts Roofing University (RRU), a workforce development and mentorship initiative designed to prepare aspiring contractors and entrepreneurs for careers in roofing, construction, and real estate development.
Now entering its third year, the RRU program will begin accepting applications on November 15, 2025, with classes commencing in January 2026. The program focuses on financial literacy, construction project management, and real estate underwriting. In 2024, over 120 participants completed the program, with 82% of graduates reporting new job placements, business launches, or project partnerships within six months.
“The goal of RRU is to close the gap between technical skills and business acumen in the trades,” said Kason Roberts, founder of Roberts Roofing University and co-founder of AR Global Roofing. “Our graduates are not just roofers—they’re future developers, contractors, and business owners.”
Addressing Workforce Shortages
As the construction and roofing industries face persistent labor shortages, programs like RRU aim to build a sustainable talent pipeline. According to the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), the U.S. construction industry will need to attract more than 500,000 additional workers in 2026 to meet demand. RRU’s curriculum is designed to align with these industry needs by equipping students with both trade skills and business fundamentals.
Expansion Plans for 2026
In response to increased interest, AR Global Roofing plans to expand the RRU program to two additional Texas cities in 2026—Austin and San Antonio—with the goal of training at least 300 students annually by 2027. The expansion will include partnerships with local trade organizations and community centers to broaden recruitment efforts.
