A click away from solving your Quickbooks forgotten password
Brandon, MB, Canada, 30th Mar 2022, King News Wire, It comes as no surprise, the rise in the number of forgotten passwords, QuickBooks experts say, especially with the need to change passwords frequently and complex password combinations.
QuickBooks Desktop requires complex passwords to ensure the security of data that is stored on the software. The software will also prompt you to change your QuickBooks password before the end of the 90 days to assure you don’t forget it. Plus, you will get a reminder on the expiration date too.
Intuit recommended a complex password be chosen for files containing sensitive data such as social security numbers, credit card numbers and employers’ identification numbers, and you can only change the password if you are the administrator. In doing so, QuickBooks believes it has significantly lowered the instances of theft. If the QuickBooks file contains sensitive information regarding credit card, social security number, or more, it will be mandatory to set up a complex, secure password. A strong password will ensure that only authorized staff have access to the information.
If you find difficulty in remembering your passwords, you can take the help of QuickBooks File Manager on your QuickBooks Enterprise Accountant or Desktop Accountant to manage them. A forgotten password can always be retrieved using the password reset hint. If the password hint is forgotten, the Automated Password Reset Tool could be used to change the QuickBooks Desktop password.
