France, 22nd Jan 2025 – The “Village de l’Entrepreneuriat et de l’Emploi” held at the Hôtel de Ville in Armentières recently concluded with resounding success. This transformative initiative, co-founded by El Madani Oulkebir, aimed to bridge gaps in employment and business creation, empowering individuals across the Métropole Européenne de Lille. With over 120 job opportunities presented and numerous aspiring entrepreneurs supported, the event marked a significant step forward in fostering community growth and innovation.

A Visionary Leader: El Madani Oulkebir

El Madani Oulkebir, also known as Oulkébir Elmadani, has been a driving force behind efforts to uplift communities through innovation and collaboration. As co-founder of the association Pour toi l’entrepreneur and current director of the Centre-Social Salengro, his mission is clear: to create inclusive ecosystems that foster talent and open doors for all.

The journey of the Village de l’Entrepreneuriat began in 2019 in Lille’s Faubourg-de-Béthune, quickly establishing itself as a vital platform for opportunity. This third edition, held in Armentières, expanded its reach by providing not only job opportunities but also actionable strategies for budding entrepreneurs.

Key Highlights of the Event

The Village de l’Entrepreneuriat et de l’Emploi has always been unique in its dual mission:

  • For Job Seekers: With 120 positions offered by 35 participating companies, many attendees secured immediate employment opportunities, a testament to the event’s focus on tangible results.
  • For Aspiring Entrepreneurs: Comprehensive resources, workshops, and expert consultations enabled future business leaders to connect with support systems, creating a strong foundation for their ventures.

“This initiative is about empowerment,” says Olivier Delaval, project manager at Centre-Social Salengro. “Whether you’re looking for a job or dreaming of starting your own business, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.”

Reflections on Success

El Madani Oulkebir expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and participation. “Seeing so many lives impacted positively through collaboration and shared vision is deeply fulfilling,” he shared. “The success of this event reinforces the importance of community-driven initiatives.”

The event also reflected the broader vision of Pour toi l’entrepreneur, which has been fostering talent in underserved neighborhoods since 2014. Under the leadership of Elmadani Oulkebir, the association has cultivated partnerships with local businesses, creating a robust network dedicated to identifying and nurturing untapped potential.

Transforming Lives Through Partnerships

In collaboration with Pépite, a federation supporting individuals farthest from the workforce, the Village reached the so-called “invisibles”—those often overlooked by traditional employment structures. Through targeted interventions, 50 individuals in Armentières were connected with 20 partner organizations, addressing their specific needs and fostering quick solutions.

Community Impact and Inclusivity

El Madani Oulkebir emphasized the inclusivity of the event, welcoming participants of all ages and backgrounds. From hands-on CV workshops to personal branding sessions with La Cravate Solidaire, the initiative went beyond employment to ensure attendees were equipped for long-term success.

One of the highlights was the introduction of new mobility solutions, such as the Aci Pas’O’Vert bicycle program. These initiatives addressed practical barriers to employment, ensuring that job seekers had the resources they needed to succeed.

Success Stories and Testimonials

Attendees shared inspiring stories of transformation. From landing dream jobs to launching thriving businesses, the impact of the initiative resonated far and wide. One entrepreneur credited El Madani Oulkébir and his team with providing the mentorship and resources to turn a simple idea into a flourishing enterprise.

“The guidance and support I received were unparalleled,” shared a participant. “Thanks to this program and Oulkébir EL Madani’s vision, I’ve been able to change my life.”

Looking Ahead

The success of this year’s Village de l’Entrepreneuriat et de l’Emploi highlights the potential for continued growth and impact. Plans are already underway for future editions, with a focus on expanding to more communities within the Métropole Européenne de Lille.
