White Label Press Release Services

New York-based graphic designer applies typography, editorial design, branding, and information design across architecture, public campaigns, cultural projects, and award-recognized design work

Graphic designer Isaac Jung, also known by his legal name Seunghun Jung, is advancing a design practice focused on transforming complex information into clear visual systems for architecture, civic communication, cultural organizations, and public-facing design projects.

Based in New York, Jung works at Marvel Architects, a multidisciplinary architecture, landscape architecture, and urban design firm, where he serves as a Business Development Designer within the firm’s graphic design and visual communication practice.

In this role, Jung contributes to the visual communication of long-form RFP and RFQ proposals, interview presentations, diagrams, editorial materials, schedules, team structures, and project narratives for architecture and urban design work. His practice focuses on organizing dense technical and strategic content into structured visual formats that help clients, public agencies, project teams, and broader audiences understand a project’s direction, value, and public relevance.

“Graphic design has an important role in helping complex ideas become accessible,” Jung said. “In architecture and public-facing work, design is not only about presentation. It is also about structure, clarity, hierarchy, and helping people understand how ideas connect.”

Jung’s approach is grounded in typography, editorial design, branding, and information design. He studied Graphic Design with a minor in Sound Art at the Maryland Institute College of Art, graduating Cum Laude in 2023. Since then, his work has developed across professional architectural practice, design competitions, civic communication, cultural projects, and exhibition-based typography work.

At Marvel Architects, one of Jung’s notable editorial projects has been the 2025 Marvel Almanac, a 96-page internal annual publication presenting the firm’s leadership, design values, working methods, and design process. As lead designer, Jung was responsible for editorial structure, information hierarchy, typography, page sequencing, review coordination, and final print production. More than 200 copies were printed and distributed across Marvel’s offices, and the project was also featured on the company’s website.

Jung’s design practice also extends into civic and public communication. For State Senator Mary Washington’s 2022 Primary and General Election Campaign, he designed campaign signage, printed outreach materials, fundraising graphics, infographics, and social media templates. The work helped communicate campaign messages, legislative accomplishments, and voting information through accessible and consistent visual formats.

In Baltimore’s independent arts community, Jung developed branding and poster design for the Baltimore Boom Bap Society, a music collective known for improvised hip-hop music performances. His work supported a consistent visual identity across recurring events, including the milestone Session 100 featuring Lupe Fiasco, which was listed by Visit Baltimore and presented at Le Mondo in Baltimore.

Jung also completed branding work for the Independent Artists Coalition of Baltimore, further applying visual identity design to arts, cultural, and community-based organizations.

His work has received recognition in international design award programs. Jung’s Baltimore Boom Bap Society Poster Series was selected as a Silver Winner in the Graphis Poster Awards 2025. His branding project Fruitelier received an Honorable Mention from the Graphis New Talent Awards 2024, along with Gold recognition in Branding and Lettering and Silver recognition in Branding for Food, Packaging Design, and Logos from the 2024 Indigo Design Award.

His branding and exhibition design project IPRV also received Gold recognition in Branding, Lettering, and Typography and Silver recognition in Logos from the 2025 Indigo Design Award.

Jung has additionally presented typography-focused work through exhibitions organized by the Korean Society of Typography. He participated in the online exhibition Singing Words, Singing Letters, presented work through the Seoul Design Festival, and participated in the Society’s 16th exhibition, Vibrating Birds & Handwritten Letter. His work for the latter exhibition was displayed online and at Art Sonje Center and included in the exhibition catalog.

Jung’s prospective work in the United States will continue at Marvel Architects, where he will serve as a Graphic Designer and Business Development Designer on architecture, landscape architecture, and urban design projects. His work will include developing visual communication for long-form RFP/RFQ proposals, interview presentations, public-facing graphics, team structures, schedules, design strategies, branding, wayfinding support, environmental graphics, and visual identity systems connected to civic, cultural, and public-space projects.

Across architectural proposals, civic campaigns, independent cultural organizations, exhibitions, and award-recognized design projects, Jung’s work reflects the broader role of graphic design in public life. By combining structure, typography, and visual storytelling, his practice demonstrates how design can support clearer communication within the civic, cultural, and built environments that shape public experience.
