Modcon Systems Ltd. has announced updates to its MOD-1040 Oxygen Analyzer for high pressure industrial gas applications. The analyzer measures from 1 ppm to 100% O2 at process pressures up to 350 barg and now includes automatic pressure and temperature compensation together with field calibration and maintenance functions.
Modcon Systems Ltd. has announced updates to its MOD-1040 Oxygen Analyzer for high pressure industrial gas applications including hydrogen, natural gas, refinery gas, petrochemical gas, flare gas, biogas, ammonia and other process gas streams.

The MOD-1040 uses optical oxygen measurement technology and provides a measurement range from 1 ppm to 100% O2. It is designed for process pressures up to 350 barg and provides a T90 response time below five seconds. The latest configuration includes automatic compensation for changes in process pressure and temperature. Calibration and maintenance can also be carried out in the field using a portable service device with an optional calibration manifold.
Applications in hydrogen and process industries
The MOD-1040 is intended for continuous oxygen measurement in a range of industrial gas applications. In hydrogen production it can be used for oxygen monitoring during electrolysis, purification, compression, storage and associated process stages.
