SkinnyRx Launches Metabolic Health Feature for Glucose and Lifestyle Tracking

SkinnyRx has announced the launch of Metabolic Health, a new feature within the SkinnyRx app that displays continuous glucose data alongside recorded nutrition, activity, hydration and sleep information. The feature also includes a daily Metabolic Score and enables relevant health data to be viewed within the same digital platform

SkinnyRx, a digital weight-care platform, today launched Metabolic Health, a feature that adds continuous glucose monitoring to the SkinnyRx app.

The feature pairs data from a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) with logged meals, activity, hydration and sleep information. It includes the Metabolic Score, a daily number from 0 to 100 generated from those inputs.

Metabolic Health can be used by members alongside an existing SkinnyRx plan or on its own.

Metabolic Score

The Metabolic Score combines glucose, nutrition, activity, hydration and sleep data into a single daily number. Glucose is weighted most heavily in the calculation. Scores of 80 or above are categorized separately from scores below that threshold.

Continuous glucose monitoring

The feature uses a wearable sensor worn on the back of the upper arm that records glucose levels throughout the day and night. Logged meals are displayed alongside recorded glucose data in the app. Movement, sleep and hydration are also recorded.

Use with medication

Metabolic Health is available to members taking GLP-1 medication and to members not taking GLP-1 medication. For members on a SkinnyRx GLP-1 plan, medication tracking and Metabolic Health data are located in the same app.

Care-team access

The feature includes in-app messaging between members and SkinnyRx’s care team. The care team has access to the same recorded data as the member.
