SoberGenZ Launches Free Peer-Speaker Certification Program to Expand Student-Led Health Education in Schools
New self-guided program enables students to become certified SoberGenZ educators and deliver neuroscience-based health presentations at their own schools.
SoberGenZ today announced the launch of its peer-speaker certification program, a free, self-guided system that trains students to deliver neuroscience-based health education presentations at their own schools. The program is designed to extend the organization’s reach beyond the schools it has worked with directly and to make student-led health education available to a wider network of institutions.

The certification program allows any enrolled student to complete an online training sequence, access a standardized set of presentation materials, and become a recognized SoberGenZ speaker. The organization states the program removes the logistical limits of a single presenter and allows participating schools to be reached through certified students rather than scheduled visits.
“Our goal is to make accurate, accessible health education available to as many students as possible,” said Louis Stumpf, Founder of SoberGenZ. “The certification program lets motivated students bring this material to their own schools directly, which allows the program to grow in a sustainable, structured way.”
Program Overview
The SoberGenZ certification program is structured around a short online curriculum. Participating students complete three educational modules covering the program’s core health and neuroscience content, each followed by a brief assessment. Students who complete the modules receive access to a standardized presentation toolkit, including slide materials, speaker guidance, and supporting resources for parents and school administrators.
Certified students are provided with materials to request approval from their school and to deliver a structured 15 to 30 minute classroom presentation. The organization records the number of students reached and maintains a public directory of certified speakers. According to SoberGenZ, certified speakers also receive a formal credential recognizing their participation.
Background
SoberGenZ was founded in 2024 as a youth-led education initiative focused on translating university-level neuroscience research into accessible material for a teenage audience. Since its founding, the organization reports that its presentations have been delivered in 18 schools. The newly launched certification program is intended to expand that reach by enabling students to deliver the program independently.
“The materials and the curriculum are already in place,” said Stumpf. “The certification program is the step that lets us scale responsibly, by equipping students to deliver it themselves.”
